County CEMP Drill

May 30th Drill – Hurricane Norman 0800 to 1700 hours
**We do not expect you to remain in the same location for the entire day. If you can cover more than one location for the drill that would be much appreciated. You may not even need to leave the comfort of your home if you live close to one of the Evacuation Centers that are must have and any other Evacuation Center.
What is our end goal of this drill? – to test our operational link, resources (ICS 217/205)
How to engage? – by getting the ham community excited about participating in this drill via email, Facebook, and Twitter.
What artificiality are we willing to accept? – State EOC, Evacuation Centers and Battalion Chiefs
Our served agencies are: Salvation Army, Red Cross, HC Fire/Rescue and Office of Emergency Management.
What facilities do we want staffed and or tested: Brandon Regional Hospital, Plant City location of BRH, South Bay Hospital, Hann EOC (North West Quadrant NCS & coop), PSOC (Command & Control NCS & North East Quadrant Evacuation Centers NCS, Kings Point ARC (HF), Sun City Center ARC (South County Evacuation Center NCS), BEARS, TGH, VA, HC CERT Teams and GT CERT
Evacuation Centers/Special Needs/Family Shelters that need to be tested: Riverview HS (SN), Brandon HS (EC), USF Yingling Center (SN), Pizzo ES (EC), Strawberry Crest (SN), Sickles (FS), Durant (FS), Armwood (FS), Steinbrenner (FS) and Schmidt (FS).
We will be testing the flow of information via radio (message handling ICS 213), Winlink and WebEOC.
We also will be making sure we can link up with Pasco, Pinellas and Polk Counties.
