Please check all your radio’s at your home station and your HT’s (blow that dust off), check the programming in your radios to make sure you have all the correct frequencies. Stock up needed items and make any preparation that are needed for this rain event.
The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor a system over central Georgia that is forecast to move into the northeast Gulf of Mexico in a couple of days. There is now an 80 percent chance of the system becoming a tropical depression by the end of this week. This system will most likely move westward, away from the Florida Peninsula, as it develops. Regardless of development, locally heavy rainfall, especially along the coast, will be our main impact from this system.
